Retroperitoneal Mass:

68yr old male from Buldhana presented with large abdominal mass to us with he was suffering for 4 yrs. We operated patient successfully in a 7 hr surgery and removed a mass of 30 X 25 X 15 cm which was around 5 kg of weight. Patient had an uneventful recovery and was discharged on POD 7. Presently patient is undergoing adjuvant chemotherapy.

Retroperitoneal Mass:

55yr old male from Jalna presented with large abdominal mass to us with he was suffering for 2 yrs. We operated patient successfully in a 8 hr surgery and removed a mass of 20 X 18 X 15 cm. Surgery was complicated as the mass was adherent to aorta which is largest blood vessel in body and the right ureter which tubes carrying urine from kidney to bladder. Patient had an uneventful recovery and was discharged on POD 8. Presently patient is undergoing adjuvant chemotherapy.

Lung Cancer:

66 yr old male from Dwarkhed presented to us with Right sided lung cancer which he was suffering from 3 months. Patient received treatment for TB outside and was detected as cancer at our center after biopsy. We removed tumour successfully which required removing more than half of his right lung and it took around 3 and hrs. He recovered uneventfully and was discharged on pod 6. He is presently undergoing chemotherapy

Head and Neck Cancer:

65 yr old lady from Nanded presented to us with advanced mouth cancer on left side. She was taking treatment by alternative therapy for 4 months hence presented to us with advanced stage.

She underwent 6 hr surgery in which we removed tumour along with left jaw and skin. Surgery was complicated as the tumour was very close to skull base where the major nerve and vessels go to brain. We reconstructed the defect with chest muscle. Patient was discharged on day 8 and is receiving radiation at present.

Our department is routinely doing complex head and neck surgeries including thyroid , larynx, parotid, oral cavity cancers and free flap reconstructions. On an average surgery department is doing more than 200 cases annually.

Esophagus Cancer:

59 year old lady from Nanded presented with dysphagia which was diagnosed as oesophageal cancer. She underwent removal of tumor with complete food pipe (esophagus) and new food pipe was made using stomach. Surgery took about 7 hrs. She recovered well and was discharged on POD9. Presently she receiving adjuvant chemotherapy.
